A paid workspace has a license expiry. Expiry and closing are different. Expiry blocks spending. Closing is the owner taking the workspace out of the switcher.

What expiry blocks

When the license expiry is in the past, spending in that workspace stops. There is no separate frozen flag. The check is the expiry timestamp against now. A member can switch, from the sidebar, to another workspace that is still open, including the free one created at signup, and spend that pool instead.

How renewal dates are computed

A month is 30 days. A year is 365 days. A renewal can switch between monthly and yearly. New credits are added to the balance already in the pool. They do not replace it. One payment number is applied once.

Close

The owner closes the workspace from workspace settings.
  • Members lose access immediately.
  • The owner can restore it for 60 days. Time that billing skipped while it was closed is added back, so restore does not charge a skipped payment at once.
  • After 60 days, continuous-payment agreements for this workspace are cancelled, and unused license time is frozen. The workspace row remains. Chats and the credit pool still point at it.
The workspace created for the account at signup cannot be closed. The free plan depends on it. Closing is not deleting the account, and it is not canceling a subscription. Canceling is on Subscription plans.
