# Office Documents

> Process PDF, Word, Excel, and PPT documents

Profy Expert has built-in capabilities for four major office document types — PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You can upload existing documents for Expert to analyze and process, or use natural language to generate new documents from scratch.

## Supported Document Types

## PDF Processing

### Reading and Analysis

After uploading a PDF file, Expert can:

* Extract the full text and answer related questions
* Recognize text in scanned documents via OCR
* Summarize key points and compare multiple documents
* Extract data from tables and charts

### Creation and Layout

## Word / DOCX Processing

### How to Use

    Describe the document content and formatting requirements, and Expert will generate a .docx file. For example: "Write a project proposal with four sections: background, objectives, timeline, and budget."

    Upload a .docx file and tell Expert what changes to make — adjust formatting, modify content, add sections, etc.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the Result">
    Once processing is complete, Expert returns a downloadable .docx file that you can open and edit in Word or WPS.

## Excel / XLSX Processing

### Core Capabilities

## PowerPoint / PPTX Processing

Expert offers two ways to create presentations:

    Generate HTML-based web presentations. Richer visual effects — supports animated transitions, interactive elements, and custom layouts. Ideal for online sharing or presentations with higher visual standards. Once generated, it can be played in full-screen directly in a browser.

### Recommendations

* Clearly state the **audience** and **context** of the presentation (e.g., "a fundraising pitch for investors"), and Expert will adjust the content depth and visual style accordingly
* Provide an outline or key points, and Expert will expand them into complete slides
* If you have brand colors or style preferences, let Expert know in advance

## General Tips

  * When uploading existing documents, Expert will first understand the document's content, allowing you to make further processing requests based on that understanding
  * You can process multiple documents in a single conversation — for example, "Merge these three reports into one PDF"
  * All generated documents are directly downloadable and compatible with mainstream office software

<Warning>
  Processing large documents (PDFs over 100 pages or DOCX files with many images) may take longer. When necessary, consider splitting them into smaller files before uploading.

## Billing

Credit consumption for document processing primarily comes from model token usage in the conversation. Document generation and download themselves incur no additional charges.
