# Expert Pricing Models

> Free, trial, one-time purchase, and metered — four pricing modes

Each Expert has a pricing model set by its creator. Different Experts may use different pricing strategies, and you can clearly see the pricing mode on the Expert's detail page.

## Four Pricing Modes

    **Features:** No cost, unlimited usage.

    Free Experts are completely open to use. You can start a conversation immediately with no trial limits and no purchase required.

    <Tip>Free Experts are great for getting started and understanding how Profy Experts work.</Tip>

  <Tab title="Trial + Paid">
    **Features:** A limited number of free trial turns, after which a purchase is required.

    You can try a few conversation turns for free to experience the Expert's capabilities. Once your trial turns are used up, you'll need to purchase to continue.

    The number of trial turns is set by the creator and may vary between Experts. The experience during the trial period is identical to that after purchase.

    <Note>Trial turns are cumulative across all your conversations with that Expert and do not reset.</Note>

  <Tab title="One-Time Purchase">
    **Features:** Pay once, use forever.

    After a single fixed payment, you can use the Expert unlimited times with no additional credit consumption.

    The one-time purchase model is ideal for Experts you're certain you'll use frequently over the long term. Buy once, never expires.

    <Tip>The purchase price is set by the creator and can be viewed on the Expert's detail page. Actual pricing is shown within the product.</Tip>

  <Tab title="Metered">
    **Features:** Pay-per-use — each conversation deducts credits based on actual token consumption.

    This is the most flexible billing method. The cost of each conversation depends on the model you choose and the length of the conversation. You pay only for what you use.

    Metered credit consumption follows the [billing unit](/en/documentation/billing/billing-units) of your selected model, typically token-based billing.

## How to Check an Expert's Pricing Mode

    Browse and search for Experts in the marketplace. Each Expert card indicates its pricing type.

    Click into the Expert's detail page to see complete pricing information, including the pricing mode, price (if applicable), and trial turns (if applicable).

  <Step title="Start Using">
    Depending on the pricing mode:

    * Free and trial period: Start a conversation directly
    * One-time purchase: Complete the purchase first, then start using
    * Metered: Ensure your account has sufficient credits before starting a conversation

    Digital content purchases are generally non-refundable. We recommend making full use of the trial opportunity before purchasing.

  <Accordion title="How many credits does a metered Expert consume per session?">
    Consumption depends on the AI model you choose and the conversation length. Different models have different rates, and longer conversations cost more. You can see the actual credits consumed after each turn.

  <Accordion title="What if I want to continue after using up my trial turns?">
    After trial turns are exhausted, you need to purchase the Expert to continue using it. If the Expert also supports metered mode, it will be billed per token after purchase.

    Yes. Creators can adjust the pricing mode and price when publishing a new version. Existing purchasers' rights are not affected.

    Yes. The pricing rules are identical regardless of whether you use an Expert via the web or an IM channel. After trial turns are exhausted, you'll need to purchase on the web.
